Women Pilots

Lillian Boyer was an aerial performer in early aviation. On only her second flight, Lillian walked out onto the wing of a moving plane. From 1921-1928 she became a professional wing-walker, performing in fairs across the United States. Some of her tricks included hanging by her ankles, toes, or teeth; balancing on her head; and jumping from plane to plane in midair.
