Women Pilots

Mary Ellis was one of the few remaining Air Transport Auxiliary female pilots from World War II before her passing in July of 2018. In 1941, she joined the ATA and was stationed on the base in Hampshire, United Kingdom. Ellis piloted over 1,000 aircraft during her service. She ferried planes from bases to the front lines and aircraft from factories to bases.
