Blanche Wilcox Noyes, is the wife Dewey R. Noyes, the chief pilot of the Standard Oil Company of Ohio, a former airmail flier. She was an actress before her marriage and is one of the prettiest women in the derby. She learned to fly at Cleveland a few months ago and was the first woman to solo at Cleveland airport. Her husband bought her a plane which she used on short trips around Ohio to get sufficient flying hours for a license. She made one trip to Wichita, Kansas, where she brought a Whirlwind Travel Air to use for this flight. Taken from The Tulsa Tribune and The Beacon Phone, Aug 1929.
