Women Pilots

Ruth Nichols of Rye, New York, was a graduate of Wellesley college, a member of the junior League and her name was in the Social Registrar of New York. She was issued the second pilots license to an American woman and was regarded as a capable and careful flier. Ruth flew a Rearwin with a Ken-Royce motor during the 1929 Air Derby.
