Army Chief Warrant Officer 5 Cathy Jarrell joined the military in 1989. She earned the rank of Army Warrant Officer in 1991. After graduating flight school, Jarrell starting piloting the UH-1H "Huey" helicopter. Huey's were made famous in the Vietnam War as the main helicopter in use for troop carriers and combatant helicopters. Jarrell then went on to volunteer to pilot the AH-64 Apache helicopter.
